We take PRIDE in ourselves, our school, and our community. We have the POWER to succeed. We PERFORM to our highest potential every day.
Evelyn Stuckey Elementary School, home of the Superheroes, is a dynamic elementary school where students, staff and families are committed to the success of all learners. The school serves over 700 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The mission of the school is focused on three words: pride, power, performance. The students and staff take pride in themselves, their school, and their community. Everyone has the power to succeed. Students are encouraged by their teachers, families, and peers to perform to their highest potential.
Our school is a prime example of what can be accomplished when excellent, caring teachers and staff work collaboratively with our families and community leaders to act in the best interest of the children each day. Our students' families are always welcome at our school and can be seen volunteering on a daily basis. The engagement of our families in the school strengthens the bond between home and school and helps our school remain a safe, fun place to learn.
In the end, a school is only as good as its teachers and staff. We are fortunate to have teachers who work tirelessly to ensure that every student receives the instructional interventions necessary to maximize their academic achievement. Teachers at Stuckey voluntarily use their preparation time to observe and learn from their colleagues. They work cooperatively to develop common assessments to assess their instructional effectiveness. Most importantly, they foster a love of school and learning in each student that they touch. They are our superheroes.
